Week 2 EOC: Erin Brockovich

Erin Brockovich gives a very black and white look on how the legal game is played and how it is easily manipulated with to force a outcome. Lawyers like take things like sympathy and are able to either reverse or use it to their own advantage. They twist facts in their favor to get the disarm conclusion to receive the hefty fine at the end of the cycle which is the legal system as a whole.  We embrace the help of these highly educated people but for what service is the large lump sum of a settlement worth to where in a lot of cases it’s not even worth it. Then in all reality, there are the big corporations that you fight against in this which have a literal army of lawyers at their beck and call to drag out the processes if need be or strong or strong arm some with the fear of the weight the person their suing holds. In the movie they built a case and was able to acquire 333 million dollars(http://www.brockovich.com/mystory.html) for the 600 residents but the held the 40 percent of the profits that totaled 133200000 dollars for the firm.
